Product Description

The CES Counterflow Square Pattern (SP) nozzles are constructed from injection-molded polypropylene and are designed for easy installation and uniform water distribution. Water exits the nozzle in a uniform spray of fluidized water particles, enhancing heat transfer within the cooling tower by providing a large surface to volume ratio for the droplets.

Unlike nozzles that disperse water in a circular pattern, the CES Square Pattern Spray Nozzle for Counter Flow Cooling Tower  is designed to mirror the footprint of straight-sided industrial cooling towers, ensuring complete coverage over the fill area while significantly reducing water shedding on the side, partition, and end walls. When properly installed, the nozzles are pitched to create overlapping individual sprays from adjacent nozzles, which optimizes water distribution over the fill area and maximizes heat transfer within the fill system.

The nozzle body includes 2” male threads for easy connection to lateral piping directly or through the use of adapters and extensions. This design guarantees long-term durability, minimizes fill erosion, and contributes to overall tower efficiency.

Key Features:

  • Constructed from polypropylene, suitable for a standard operating temperature of 140°F and a softening temperature of 214°F.
  • Uniform square spray pattern ensures even water coverage over the fill area.
  • The water droplets have a large surface-to-volume ratio, enhancing heat transfer.
  • Designed for low-pressure operation, reducing water shedding and improving cooling efficiency.
  • Available with various accessories, such as adapters and extensions, to accommodate different installation needs.
