Kaldnes media is the new-developed biologically active carrier media , it offen used for MBBR moving media system that used in Integrated Fixed-lm Activated Sludge (IFAS) and moving bed biofilm reaction (MBBR) system. This moving bed filter media adopts scientific formula, depending on the nature of water, and according to the different nature of sewage in polymer materials to adding a variety of beneficial microorganisms quickly attach and grow the trace elements.Through special modifying and structuring process. moving bed filter media possess advantages of good hydrophilicity , high biological activity, quick film formation, easy to multiply, difficult falling off, large specific surface area and high biomass, appropriate specific gravity and good fluidization effect, high oxygen utilization efficiency and long service life, to ensure the effective operation of the MBBR process.

Addition of a variety of trace elements in the carriers,kaldnes media improve its hydrophilic performance, accelerate growth of microorganism and improve its physiological activity, rapidly attachment on the surface of the carriers, and the rapid growth, accelerate forming membrane and improve water treatment efficiency.

Suitable density (less than 0.96 gm/cc and when the biofilm formation near about 1gm/cc), the kaldnes media carriers are more easy fluidization, save energy consumption. Unique zigzag structure of carriers,  that favor of freely three-dimensional flow in water, constantly shock and cutting bubbles in water, increase and oxygen contact frequency, to provide more oxygen to the bacteria, fast degradation of organic pollutants in wastewater.

Adjusting the dose depending on wastewater characteristics, treatment process, discharge standards and available volumes. Kaldnes media is suitable for the excess load active sludge law transformation and the area limited newly built sewage factory.

 

Kaldnes Bio Filter Media Process Principle:

 

The kaldnes medias as carrier for the growth and attachment of microorganisms are directly put into the MBBR system. The waste water go through the suspended moving bed filter media carriers in MBBR reactor, microorganisms attach themselves to submerged moving biofilm carrier, forming a biofilm. Air is transferred into the water, mixing the media and water and providing oxygen to the bacteria. The biofilm absorbs, oxidizes and reduces organic and inorganic material thus providing treatment. The carriers can move freely in the reactor with the mixing of the water; for the aerobic reactor, the aeration will make the media move; for the anaerobic reactor, mechanic mixing will make the media move.

Why we use HDPE as Raw Material For Kaldness Media:

We selected all-new HDPE material for kaldness media, variety of beneficial microorganisms quickly attach and grow the trace elements as raw material of biocell filter media. Both can improve its attaching organism quantity and forming membrane speed, but also to ensure its excellent mechanical properties and its service life up to more than 10 years.Many research and practice have shown that biocompatibility and hydrophilicity have a great influence on the performance of biocell filter media. Therefore, choosing materials with better biocompatibility is very important, the latest research indicates that HDPE is the most superior biological materials. We finally decided to use an HDPE material as raw material of moving bed filter media, with excellent mechanical properties, suitable density and best performance of biocompatibility and hydrophilicity.
